MAKE THE WATCH LIST YOURS

Build a watch list around your next move.

Job boards are useful for discovery. A company’s own careers page is often where you return to check the teams and roles you care about. PageFluxer lets you keep those pages together, narrow the selection to a job list, and hear when a new matching link appears. You choose the companies; your monitor handles the repeat visits.

Follow a particular team

Choose an engineering, design, or operations page instead of watching every department on the company website.

Match a useful phrase

Filter listing links by wording such as “senior engineer” or “remote.” Matching is literal and case-insensitive, using the link text and URL.

Keep your search organized

Name each monitor by company and department. Add labels, search your watch list, and review new changes together.

FROM PAGE TO USEFUL ALERT

Here’s how to set it up.

The guided builder walks you through your page, goal, selection, delivery, and final confirmation.

  1. Choose a public careers URL

Use the department or location page you normally visit. Give it a name such as “Acme · engineering” and choose New listings in the builder.

  2. Select the list, then confirm it

Load the preview and select the container around the job links. Check that the extracted list contains the roles you expect. Start with HTML checks; try Browser checks if the list is loaded by JavaScript.

  3. Define the roles worth an alert

Add an optional matching phrase, or leave it blank for every new linked item. If you want edits to a job description instead, monitor that role’s own page using Specific content.

  4. Choose your check and email schedule

Pick a check interval that fits your allowance. An hourly or daily email digest can bring matching changes together. Confirm the initial list and estimated usage before saving.

THE CONTEXT BEHIND THE ALERT

Know whether a role is new or just edited.

New-listing rules compare link identities. A newly matching URL can trigger an alert; reordering the same jobs does not. Open the monitor’s history to review captured changes, then follow the company’s source link for the role details. To track wording on an existing role, use a separate text target or monitor.

Common questions

Can I alert only on senior or remote jobs?

Yes, when the wording you need appears in the job link text or URL. Enter a literal phrase such as “senior engineer.” PageFluxer does not interpret job requirements or search inside every linked description. For wording only found inside a role, monitor that role’s own URL.

What if the careers page loads its jobs with JavaScript?

Choose Browser checks and confirm the job list appears in the preview. Browser checks are included on Starter and Pro, with a one-time trial on Free. The browser guide explains supported pages and loading limits.

Will changes to an existing listing send another new-job alert?

Reordering, removal, or an edit to an existing matching link does not count as a new item. Changing URL query parameters can create a different link identity. Select stable job links and use a text rule when you want to follow edits as well.
