MAKE THE WATCH LIST YOURS

Keep the next policy revision on your radar.

A vendor updates its public terms of service or privacy policy between your scheduled reviews. PageFluxer can watch those pages for you, record captured text changes, and bring matching updates into your email. Start with the policies you already check, then decide which revisions need a closer look.

Follow the policy body

Select the terms or privacy-policy text to reduce alerts from navigation, promotions, and unrelated page content. Use separate monitors when the documents have different URLs.

Review the actual wording

Compare retained captures with highlighted additions and removals. An alert gives your team a starting point for review, without interpreting the legal effect of a change.

Keep a focused review queue

Name and label monitors by vendor and document. Choose per-change email or a digest; Pro webhooks can deliver matching events to your own review system.

FROM PAGE TO USEFUL ALERT

Here’s how to set it up.

The guided builder walks you through your page, goal, selection, delivery, and final confirmation.

  1. Choose the public policy URL

Paste the vendor’s terms of service or privacy-policy webpage. Create a separate monitor for each URL and name it clearly, such as “Acme · privacy policy.”

  2. Select the policy, then check the preview

Choose Specific content and select the policy body or a clause you follow. Confirm that the preview includes the expected text. HTML checks suit server-rendered pages; try Browser checks when JavaScript loads the document.

  3. Use Any change for a broad review

Track captured wording edits in the selected content. A literal phrase condition can focus on wording that starts appearing or disappears, but it will not identify every revision to a clause or recognize equivalent wording.

  4. Set the schedule and delivery

Choose a check interval and email frequency, then confirm the baseline and estimated usage. The initial capture establishes the starting version. Later matching changes can send per-change emails or appear in your digest.

THE CONTEXT BEHIND THE ALERT

Put the revision in context, with the limits in view.

Retained text captures and highlighted diffs help you compare the wording PageFluxer observed. The detection time records when a check saw the update, not the publication or effective date. History is kept for up to 7 days on Free, 30 on Starter, and 90 on Pro, subject to storage allowances. Keep records required by your own review process separately.

Common questions

Does PageFluxer assess legal risk or approve a policy change?

No. PageFluxer detects changes to selected page content and provides captured text for review. It does not interpret obligations, assess compliance, or decide whether a revision is material. Those decisions stay with your team.

Can it read a linked PDF, a contract portal, or a policy behind sign-in?

This workflow is for public HTML webpages. PageFluxer does not read the contents of a linked PDF or inherit your browser’s login, cookies, or access to a private portal. Use the cloud preview to confirm exactly what it can see.

Is the change history a permanent or certified legal archive?

No. Captures are subject to plan retention and storage limits, and PageFluxer does not provide a certified or tamper-evident legal archive. Keep required records in your organization’s chosen recordkeeping system.

Will it catch every revision or send an instant alert?

Checks run on your chosen schedule. A page can block access, and revisions between checks can be missed. PageFluxer only compares the content it successfully captures. Continue using the vendor’s official notices and your existing review process for important obligations.
