Free website monitoring.
A useful place to start.
Follow a price, a new listing or a page you keep refreshing. Choose what matters, confirm the capture and let PageFluxer tell you when your rule matches.
Understand the allowance behind each check.
Free includes both PageFluxer Cloud and PageFluxer Local capacity. They use separate monitor allowances, while retained history and notifications are shared across your workspace.
| Method | Included | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud HTML / PDF | 3 Cloud monitor slots; 2,500 HTML / PDF checks per calendar month; every 60 minutes or slower. | Runs on PageFluxer. PDF text shares these slots and checks, with 1 active PDF monitor on Free. Confirm that the content is available in the capture. |
| PageFluxer Local | 10 saved monitors; 1 connected browser; every 5 minutes or slower. | Runs while Chrome is open on an awake computer. Up to 500 capture uploads and 8 MiB per UTC day. Paused Local monitors still use saved slots. |
| Cloud Browser trial | 1 monitor, 7 days and up to 168 scheduled attempts, every 60 minutes or slower. | One-time trial when Browser checks are available. Starts on the first Browser save, uses a Cloud slot and pauses at its limit. Visual checks share this trial; it does not renew each month. |
Free keeps up to 7 days of text change history, subject to the 20 MB storage limit, and includes 100 alert emails per month. Prepared messages and digests use that allowance; at the limit, remaining changes are combined into at most one daily workspace digest per UTC day. Setup previews have their own limits. See usage and retention details.
Team-channel notifications, recurring RSS/sitemap source watches and reporting have different plan requirements. Use the full plan comparison for those workflows.
Start with a page you already check.
A good first monitor has a clear next action. Try a budget threshold on one permitted product page, new linked items on an organization’s announcements page, or a paragraph on a page you own. Use the publisher’s own alert service when it already meets your needs.
Choose Cloud HTML when the preview contains the detail you need. Choose PageFluxer Local for supported pages that work in your Chrome profile, including authorized signed-in pages. Selected Local content is sent to PageFluxer for comparison, history and alerts; Local is not offline-only.

See what your schedule would use.
Choose a small list and a frequency that matches when you can act. Try different schedules below; anything beyond the Free Cloud limits is flagged. This estimates scheduled HTML or PDF attempts, not successful captures or alerts.
2,500 HTML / PDF checks are included on Free each calendar month.
Fits the Free schedule limits, with about 268 checks left before retries and other usage.
Assumes every page uses the same interval for the whole month, starting with unused allowances. Rounded up per page. Failed attempts, retries and your other monitors can use more checks; delays and pauses can reduce completed checks. PDFs share this allowance and Free supports 1 active PDF monitor. Cloud Browser and Local use separate allowances.

Make the first alert easy to trust.
Confirm the right content.
Preview the page in Cloud, or test a Local capture in Chrome. Choose the exact price, passage or listing area you want. The getting-started guide walks through the controls.
Save a quiet starting point.
Your confirmed capture becomes the baseline. Content already present does not immediately become a change alert. Check that the monitor is active and later checks succeed.
Verify a change and its delivery.
Use the practice page and controlled alert test. Check retained evidence as well as your inbox, then choose the notification schedule you want.
For Local checks, review the last successful capture after an offline period. What happens when your computer is off? explains the difference between browser contact and successful monitoring.
