From “has it changed?”
to “handled.”
Follow one price from a first capture to a useful alert, then see how a team closes the loop. One small example. The whole journey.

The same story, step by step.
Alder Supply, its product and the team below are fictional. The rules and stages follow PageFluxer’s monitoring flow. Use the practice page below to try a real capture.
- 01 / THE NEED
A price worth keeping an eye on.
You want to know when the Alder desk lamp’s price changes. It is a fictional public product page, with one clear price: $49.00 USD.
Explore price monitoring → - 02 / SET UP
Choose the price. Keep the rest simple.
Paste the URL, keep automatic loading and choose Price. Select the current price in the cloud preview, confirm USD and leave the rule at any price change. Give it a name, choose a check schedule and start monitoring.
Understand goals and rules → - 03 / BASELINE
The first capture is your starting point.
Look for Baseline ready on the monitor details page. Confirm the next check and enabled delivery methods. The initial $49.00 capture is the comparison baseline; it does not send a change alert. Monitoring runs in the cloud without your browser’s login or cookies.
Check your monitor is ready → - 04 / DETECT
The price changes. Your monitor notices.
The supplier changes the price to $39.00. At a later successful check, PageFluxer compares it with $49.00, saves the change and matches the price rule. The demo skips the wait between checks; real timing depends on your schedule and service capacity.
Learn how checks are counted → - 05 / NOTIFY
A useful heads-up, with the context attached.
With email enabled, the matching change enters notification delivery. An individual email shows the before and after values and links back to PageFluxer. Digests, quiet hours and retries can delay delivery. Webhooks and Business channels are separate choices on eligible plans.
Choose your delivery methods → - 06 / REVIEW
Close the loop together.
Open the saved change and compare the captured values. In a Business workspace, a teammate can mark it reviewed, and the workspace sees the same review state. Personal monitoring and email alerts work without Business; shared membership is the team step.

Try it with a predictable change.
Use a real PageFluxer monitor with our example page, or bring your own public URL.
A page that changes on purpose.
Generate a practice URL. Its price changes once, from $49.00 to $39.00 USD, ten minutes later. The URL keeps the same schedule for every visitor and cloud check.
This creates a real monitor only after you confirm setup. It uses a monitor slot and normal check allowances. No payment or Business plan is required for the HTML price example. Delete the practice monitor when you’re finished.
- Get ready, then generate a URL. Sign in first if possible. Each new practice URL has ten minutes at $49.00 before it changes permanently to $39.00. Keep the same URL for that monitor.
- Create the monitor. Choose Price, select the displayed $49.00 value and confirm USD. Use any price change, or choose a drop or a crossing below $40. Advanced selector:
#demo-price. - Confirm your starting point. Save while the price is still $49.00 and check for Baseline ready. If the page is already $39.00, generate a new URL and use a fresh preview before saving.
- Let the next check detect it. After the ten-minute mark, the page stays at $39.00. Wait for a scheduled check. On Pro or Business, Request check now, when available, still follows normal intervals and allowances; it is not an instant capture.
- Check delivery and review. Confirm workspace and monitor email are enabled. Delivery follows your saved schedule. A labelled test notification checks delivery separately; it does not prove a page change was captured. In Business, open the saved change with another member and mark it reviewed.
There is no stopwatch promise. The video shortens waiting time. Real checks follow your plan and chosen schedule, and email follows delivery settings. The price example works with HTML monitoring on all plans; only the shared-team step needs Business.
