Start with one useful question
A price below your budget, an opening on a team you follow, a change to wording you maintain: a good first monitor has a clear purpose. The dashboard now puts that choice at the start of a compact first-monitor checklist.
Paste an address such as example.com/announcements. PageFluxer adds HTTPS when the prefix is missing. Supported PageFluxer Cloud and PageFluxer Local setup links keep their destination through sign-in, so you can continue with the method you chose.
Progress that comes from completed work
The checklist follows four milestones: choose a goal, confirm the capture, save a monitor and confirm a later successful check. It uses recorded results instead of asking you to tick boxes. When those milestones are complete, you have evidence that setup and a later capture worked.
Cloud’s last milestone waits for a successful scheduled check. Local accepts a later result received from Chrome, including Check now; Chrome still needs to run on an awake computer for background checks. You can hide the checklist or bring it back at any time. Completed milestones stay with the workspace, while your watch list shows current health.
A working check and a working alert are different things. The checklist links to the practice workflow and a separate notification test so you can verify delivery too.
Keep your settings when you need to step away
Ordinary Cloud page, PDF and visual setup now includes Save draft and Save and finish later. Keep up to ten unfinished setups per workspace for 30 days after their last save, without starting checks or using monitor slots.
Resume from Settings → Setup drafts. Your URL, rules, name, labels and other settings are ready to review, but the capture is fresh. Re-select detected prices and confirm the current offer before relying on it. Drafts are shared with workspace owners and admins, so save private settings only in the intended workspace.
This complements existing Chrome extension workflows. The published 0.4.7 extension remains compatible; no new extension permissions are needed. Read the draft guide for scope, expiry and sharing details.
A next step when something gets in the way
If setup fails, the optional help prompt links to the relevant capture, rule or notification guidance. After pausing or removing a web monitor, you can tell us whether there were too many alerts, you needed a break, or the monitor simply did its job.
Choosing a reason shows useful guidance. Sending it to PageFluxer is optional, and it never blocks pausing or deleting. For a personal reply, use support.
