Meet Flux, your PageFluxer AI assistant

Meet Flux: find PageFluxer guides, ask about selected monitor status, and turn a page and an alert idea into a setup you can review and confirm.

Meet your monitoring assistant

You have a page to watch. Now comes the practical part: choose how to check it, decide what deserves an alert, and make sure the setup captures the right thing.

Meet Flux, the PageFluxer assistant in the corner of the website. Open Ask Flux when you want a useful guide, an explanation of a setting or a starting point for a new monitor. The same small panel is available while you explore PageFluxer and while you work in your dashboard.

Start with a question you already have

Find guidance searches published PageFluxer help without an account or an AI request. Choose Ask Flux · AI for a conversational explanation when AI answers are available. Sign in and review the sharing choice before sending your first message.

Try a question such as:

  • “Should I use PageFluxer Cloud or PageFluxer Local?”
  • “What is the difference between a price drop and a price falling below my budget?”
  • “Where should I look if a monitor is checking but I haven’t received an alert?”

Answers point to PageFluxer guidance so you can check the details and follow the full workflow. For a personal reply from support, contact us directly.

Choose where your checks run

Flux can help explain the two monitoring options:

  • PageFluxer Cloud runs checks on PageFluxer infrastructure. Cloud HTML and Cloud Browser checks continue when your computer is off.
  • PageFluxer Local checks supported pages in your connected Chrome profile, including pages where you already have an authorized sign-in session. Chrome must stay running on an awake computer.

Both bring selected results back to PageFluxer for history and notifications. The right choice depends on the page, the capture you need and where you want checks to run. Use the preview or browser test to confirm your choice.

Describe a watch, then make it yours

Give Flux one page and one clear goal. For example:

Help me monitor example.com/product with PageFluxer Cloud and alert me when its price crosses below 80 CAD.

Replace that illustrative address with a page you are authorized to monitor. Flux can suggest a setup for text changes, prices, availability or new linked items. It has not visited the page or verified a current price.

  1. Review the suggestion

Check the page address, monitoring method and supported rule. Edit the amount, currency or other settings before continuing.

  2. Open the normal setup

Review setup saves a PageFluxer Cloud draft and opens the wizard. For PageFluxer Local, it opens browser preparation, where you choose the detailed rule and connected browser.

  3. Confirm what will be checked

Inspect a fresh capture, select the correct content or offer, review the schedule and notifications, and confirm the monitor. Local preparation finishes with a test and confirmation in Chrome.

Owners and admins can prepare setups in their workspace. A suggestion does not start checks. Visual suggestions start as whole-page drafts in PageFluxer Cloud; choose the region and sensitivity in the visual setup. You can also open Set up a monitor and choose settings directly without an AI message.

Follow the Flux setup workflow for a complete walkthrough, including what to verify after saving.

Ask about the status you choose to share

No monitor data is included by default. In AI mode, open Context to share workspace totals or the operational status of one monitor. You can ask whether it is paused, when a successful check was last recorded, or where to investigate a reported check issue.

Expand Status shared with this answer to see the snapshot and its timestamp. Flux does not receive captured page content, change history or the actual error text. Open the monitor’s details for that evidence. An enabled email setting describes your configuration; it does not establish that an alert arrived.

Keep control of your next step

AI mode sends your messages, recent conversation and any status you select to OpenAI after consent, alongside PageFluxer guidance and plan limits. Monitor names, monitored URLs, page captures, screenshots and website credentials are not automatically included. What you type may itself be private, so keep secrets and confidential page content out of chat.

Your conversation stays in the current page and clears when you navigate, refresh or choose New chat. Saved setup drafts remain separate. If AI is unavailable or your AI Credits or spending budget are used, guidance search and ordinary setup still work.

Open Ask Flux and start with one question. Read what Flux can see and do, or use the practice alert workflow to verify a complete capture-to-notification path.
