A little help from Flux.
Find the right guide, understand a status, or turn an idea into a monitor you can review. Flux keeps the next step close to the question.
Open Ask Flux
Use the small Ask Flux button at the bottom of ordinary PageFluxer pages. Choose Find guidance to search published help without an AI request. Choose Ask Flux · AI for a conversational answer after signing in and allowing your messages to be processed by OpenAI.
Try “Which should I use: PageFluxer Cloud or PageFluxer Local?” or “How does a below-price rule work?” Answers include links to the relevant PageFluxer guidance. Flux is automated help, not a person on our support team. Read the Flux introduction for examples. For a personal reply, contact support.
Go from a question to a reviewed setup
- Describe one page and one useful signal. Include its address, with or without HTTPS.
- Review the suggested setup card. Edit the URL, monitoring method and supported rule. You can also open Set up a monitor directly without AI.
- Choose Review setup. PageFluxer Cloud saves a shared setup draft and opens a fresh preview. Visual starts with a whole-page draft; choose the region and sensitivity in setup.
- Confirm the content, current price or screenshot. Review schedule, notifications and available allowance, then save the finished monitor.
For PageFluxer Local, the URL and goal open in the existing preparation form. Choose the exact rule, name and connected browser there, send the setup, and test and confirm it in Chrome. PageFluxer Local still needs Chrome running on an awake computer. Signed-out setup carries the URL, goal and method through sign-in; detailed rules are chosen afterward.
Flux prepares one target at a time. Add combined rules, page preparation or other advanced settings in the normal setup flow. It has not visited the source or verified the selected price. Use sites you are authorized to monitor.
Ask about the status you choose
In AI mode, open Context and select workspace totals or one monitor. No monitor data is included by default. Names in the picker help you choose; they are not automatically sent to OpenAI. Changing context clears the conversation so an earlier monitor’s status is not reused.
For one monitor, Flux can see active or paused status, capture method, setup state, check and success times, whether an error is reported, configured interval, snooze state and selected delivery switches. For workspace totals, it sees counts such as PageFluxer Cloud, PageFluxer Local, paused, pending setup and error-reporting monitors. Totals are not a complete health diagnosis and do not include browser-contact detail.
Expand Status shared with this answer to inspect the snapshot and its UTC timestamp. Settings and results may change afterward. A selected email destination is not a receipt, and an active monitor is not proof that checks are succeeding. Open monitor details for actual errors, current health and retained evidence.
Choose what you share
AI mode sends your message, up to three recent question-and-answer pairs, curated public PageFluxer guidance, current plan limits and the operational status you explicitly select to OpenAI. It does not automatically send account email addresses, monitor names or URLs, rule phrases, page captures, screenshots, prices, change history, cookies, connection credentials, webhook destinations or payment information.
Text you type may itself contain private information or a monitored URL. Do not paste credentials, sensitive page text or confidential instructions. Local and authenticated page captures remain excluded from automatic AI input. A conversation permission does not enable AI setup, summaries or relevance filtering on a monitor.
Chats stay in memory in this page and clear on New chat, navigation or refresh. Closing and reopening the panel on the same page keeps the conversation. A Cloud setup draft is stored separately, visible to workspace owners and admins, and expires 30 days after its last save. Read the privacy details, including provider processing and operational counters.
Keep a useful fallback
Each completed Flux AI answer uses 2 PageFluxer AI Credits from the shared workspace balance. Failed or cancelled answers release their reserved credits. If an answer completed before you closed the panel, it can still use credits. Find guidance and manual setup use no AI Credits. Daily/monthly workspace and member budgets and service protections also apply; failed attempts count against service protection. New monitors and previews retain their ordinary allowances. See costs, balances and one-time refills →
If AI is unavailable, use Find guidance, the setup card or the normal dashboard. Flux cannot browse the web, run checks, change billing, contact support on your behalf or manage integrations. Verify important answers against the linked documentation and actual monitor evidence. Upgrade when you need additional monitoring capacity or supported paid features.
Common questions
Can Flux start or change a monitor without me?
No. Flux can prepare a setup suggestion. Review setup saves a PageFluxer Cloud draft or opens PageFluxer Local preparation. You still review a fresh capture and confirm the monitor in the normal website or Chrome workflow. Flux cannot pause, delete, snooze or change existing monitors.
Does Flux need a paid plan or a new extension?
Find guidance is available without an account. When AI is enabled, signed-in users on all plans can ask Flux using shared AI Credits, within spending limits. Owners and admins can prepare setups. Existing plan limits still apply. The website feature works with published Chrome extension 0.4.7 and requires no new extension permissions.
Can Flux tell me what changed on a monitored page?
Flux does not receive captured page content or change history. It can explain selected operational status and link to guidance. Open the monitor’s retained evidence to review changes, or use the separate AI summary feature for eligible Cloud text changes.
Are my conversations saved?
The conversation is kept in memory in the current page, not as a PageFluxer chat transcript. New chat, navigation or refresh clears it. Saved setup drafts are separate and persist for up to 30 days after their last save. OpenAI’s API data policies still apply to messages you submit.
