What’s new in the PageFluxer Chrome Extension.
Follow improvements to monitor setup and PageFluxer Local. Each entry explains what changed and which features that version supports.
Check your installed version at chrome://extensions, then open PageFluxer’s details. An upcoming version or one awaiting Store review is not yet a published release. Website features may arrive before extension updates.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.5
See browser contact, received results and monitors that need attention.
- Reports the installed extension version during the existing PageFluxer Local sync, without adding browser permissions.
- Shows recent browser contact separately from successful monitoring and the last result received by PageFluxer.
- Adds clearer connection and upload status in the side panel, including a count of this browser’s monitors needing attention.
- Recommends an update only when a newer extension version is confirmed published.
- Clarifies automatic retries and recovery before moving a blocked Cloud monitor to PageFluxer Local.
Requires the matching app update for dashboard health and version reporting. Earlier extensions remain compatible and may show Version not reported. Recent contact is not a guarantee of successful checks. Chrome must stay open on an awake desktop; website access remains best effort.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.4
Review setups from the app and assistants, move supported monitors, and see clearer captures.
- Reviews PageFluxer Local setups sent from the app, API or a connected MCP assistant in the selected Chrome profile.
- Moves supported Cloud monitors to PageFluxer Local after a successful test and confirmation, preserving history and notification settings.
- Links existing PageFluxer Local monitors to a fresh Cloud preview when moving back.
- Confirms fresh captures for content, prices, availability and new items before saving.
- Recognizes article, job and listing items while excluding navigation and utility links, and previews item titles, dates and snippets.
- Adds page-action editing and reordering, monitor search, and clearer type and frequency badges.
- Includes the product-price and retry improvements from v0.4.3 without adding browser permissions.
Requires the coordinated PageFluxer app update. Existing monitors keep their capture behavior until edited and confirmed. Chrome must stay open on an awake desktop. Screenshots, PDFs, feed sources, AI processing, native key presses and no-change alerts retain their Cloud workflows. Website access, including Amazon, is best effort.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.3
Detect, test and confirm product prices with PageFluxer Local.
- Detects supported product offers, including the current offer on supported Amazon.com and Amazon.ca pages.
- Follows the verified product when its sale-price element changes; exact element selection remains available.
- Detects currency where the page identifies it, with an optional override and no automatic USD assumption.
- Tests the price in a fresh browser tab and asks you to confirm it before starting or updating a price monitor.
- Keeps the previous price when the product, currency or current offer cannot be verified, and retains the retry improvements from v0.4.2.
Chrome must be running on an awake desktop. Automatic detection supports recognized product data and page layouts; it cannot guarantee website access, calculate checkout discounts or bypass a challenge. Existing monitors keep their settings until you edit and confirm them.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.2
Clearer PageFluxer Local check errors and more considerate retries.
- Recognizes common access challenges, including Amazon Robot Check pages, and keeps the last successful capture.
- Keeps a failed-check message visible after its result reaches PageFluxer. A successful capture clears the message.
- Slows automatic retries after failures and waits before checking more monitors on a challenged site.
- Shows the next eligible retry in the monitor list and links to this version history from the side panel.
PageFluxer Local price monitors still require an element selection and a currency. This version does not include automatic product-price detection. This version does not guarantee access to Amazon.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.1
More reliable coordination between your browser and PageFluxer.
- Checks for web pause, resume and deletion changes before starting scheduled browser work.
- Adds Refresh and live updates to the PageFluxer Local monitor list.
- Recovers stale actions and removed monitors without requiring unnecessary configuration changes.
- Preserves the background schedule when the extension wakes and waits for a successful sync before opening pages.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.1 uses element selection and requires a currency for PageFluxer Local price monitoring. Store review and automatic updates can delay availability.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.0
PageFluxer Local monitoring in your desktop Chrome profile.
- Connects a Chrome profile to a PageFluxer workspace and checks selected content in temporary inactive tabs.
- Adds PageFluxer Local monitor management with shared history and notifications on the website.
- Keeps website cookies and authentication storage on your device; selected captures are uploaded to PageFluxer.
Chrome must be running on an awake desktop. Sleep, expired sessions and website access restrictions can delay or prevent checks.
PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.3.0
Visual selection and recorded page preparation for PageFluxer Cloud.
- Selects screenshot regions separately from content targets, including images and charts.
- Records supported clicks and filters, with safeguards for sensitive fields and stale selections.
- Supports compound conditions and updated new-item detection when completing a monitor on the website.
Cloud previews and your plan determine which features are available when you save.
Keeping your monitors after an update
Chrome normally updates installed extensions automatically. Keep the same Chrome profile and extension installation so your PageFluxer Local connection and monitor settings remain available. After updating, open Local monitors and choose Refresh. Check that your saved monitors and their status match PageFluxer.
If your version is older than the feature described in a guide, check its version note before setting up a monitor. Contact support if an update leaves a monitor needing attention.
