PAGEFLUXER GUIDE · CHROME EXTENSION 0.3

Start where you browse.

Select what matters, then let PageFluxer check it in the cloud—even when Chrome is closed.

Choose content or appearance.

  1. Open the page and click PageFluxer’s toolbar icon. The extension reads that tab’s URL and title only after your click.
  2. Choose page content, a price, availability or new items. Whole-page content and new items need no element selection. New items automatically detects repeated articles, jobs and listings; “Every link” is available when that better matches your source.
  3. For a price or stock label, choose Select on page. Alt + ↑ selects a parent; Escape cancels. Confirm the currency, decimal format and rule.
  4. For appearance, choose Watch visual changes. Watch the whole page or select a region, including an image or chart. PageFluxer lets you set noise controls and review the actual cloud screenshot.

Add up to three content targets. Any rule alerts independently; All conditions supports price below, stock state and text containing or not containing a phrase, evaluated from the same capture. Missing values never satisfy a condition; repeating alerts wait until the combination resets. Goals and compound conditions →

Record only when the page needs it.

Expand Prepare the page, start recording, then click a filter or enter a public search term. Stop recording before selecting the resulting content. These actions happen on the real website. Never record passwords, purchases, payment details or private information; automatic sensitive-field detection cannot recognize everything.

The recorder supports clicks, non-sensitive text input, select menus, checkboxes and Enter in an input. Review, reorder or remove steps, and add waits or bounded scrolling on the website. Same-origin navigation can continue; other origins, frames and shadow DOM are unsupported. Clearing or re-recording a sequence clears earlier element selections. Recorded interactions and limits →

Choose the workspace before the cloud capture.

  1. Click Continue in PageFluxer. Sign in on the website if needed. Open the email link in the same Chrome profile so your draft is available.
  2. Review the named workspace and its plan. Use the workspace selector above the handoff to change the destination. Monitors use that workspace’s allowances and are visible to its members.
  3. If the page requires sign-in, mark it in the extension and select an approved site connection on the website. Owners and admins manage connections; members may use approved connections. Starter, Pro and Business support site connections. Your browser cookies, passwords and login session are never imported by the extension.
  4. Continue to the cloud preview. Your selected element is already selected; verify its extracted value rather than picking it again. A missing or ambiguous element needs correction before saving. Cloud content may differ from your browser.

Supported AI setup, capture controls, no-change alerts and visual noise controls stay in PageFluxer’s creation flow. Email, webhooks and team channels remain configurable from monitor details. AI features have separate consent and allowances; authenticated captures remain excluded. Site connections → · AI setup → · Delivery settings →

The extension is free; your workspace supplies the checks.

Installing the extension does not change your plan. Browser and visual monitoring use Browser allowances; Free uses its one-time Browser trial. Recorded steps are limited to Free: 5, Starter: 10, Pro: 20, Business: 20 per monitor. The recorder can draft up to 20 steps; shorten the sequence on the website if it exceeds your plan.

Selected pages remain subject to server-side validation, workspace permissions, capture budgets and source-site restrictions. The extension cannot bypass a CAPTCHA or a paywall, grant access to a different workspace, or make a missing cloud element readable. Usage and plan limits →

Update without recreating your monitors.

Chrome updates the store extension automatically. Version 0.3.0 includes the recording and visual support introduced after the original release. Existing cloud monitors are unaffected. Extension drafts are temporary and clear on update, reload, browser restart or tab close; finish or resend an unfinished draft afterward.

Drafts already handed to the website remain available in that Chrome profile for up to one hour, including drafts from older versions. If one expires, return to its page and send it again. A sign-in link opened in another browser cannot carry local draft storage with it.

If a page changes while selecting, refresh it and click the toolbar icon again. Chrome settings pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be selected. For a direct public PDF, continue with page-content monitoring and let the website confirm readable document text; PDF viewer controls cannot be picked. For RSS, Atom or sitemap monitoring, use Discover pages or source watches on the website.
