AMAZON PRICE SETUP

Track the product’s current offer.

Amazon can show a list price, sale price, monthly payment, used offer and recommended products together. Start with the exact product and confirm the amount PageFluxer can actually capture.

Recommended PageFluxer Cloud setup

  1. Open the Amazon.com or Amazon.ca product page and choose the variant you want. Copy its direct product URL, which contains /dp/ followed by the Amazon product identifier (ASIN). Do not use a search results page, cart, or a list of offers.
  2. In PageFluxer, create a monitor, paste the URL and choose Price. Automatic loading starts with HTML and may try Cloud Browser within your plan.
  3. Choose Main product price · recommended when it is available. It is selected automatically for a new price monitor. If you started with the PageFluxer Chrome Extension or are changing an existing element selection, click Use this product price.
  4. Confirm the product and variant, then compare Found in the cloud with the current buying price. Amazon.ca uses CAD and Amazon.com uses USD. Click Yes, track this price only when the value matches what you intend to track.
  5. Choose a drop, any price change, or a budget threshold. Start with an hourly or daily interval appropriate to your plan. Save, then configure the delivery methods you want.

PageFluxer checks the Amazon product identifier on each visit and looks for its current offer. On supported page layouts, it can continue tracking when a sale price appears in a different part of the page. Repeated displays of the same amount are treated as one price. Conflicting amounts require review.

If the preview is missing or wrong

Many prices are detected

Use the main product price recommendation. Do not choose the lowest number or a whole price box. Monthly payments, price per unit, crossed-out list prices and recommendation cards answer different questions. If PageFluxer cannot identify one current offer, use an exact element selection and confirm its amount.

Amazon asks for a CAPTCHA or blocks access

Cloud Browser does not guarantee access to Amazon. If the capture shows an access challenge, no price should be confirmed. Try the public product URL and review the preview. If PageFluxer Cloud remains blocked, try PageFluxer Local through the PageFluxer Chrome Extension. Confirm that its test succeeds before starting the monitor. PageFluxer does not solve or bypass CAPTCHAs.

The price differs from my browser

Check the marketplace, selected variant, delivery location and whether you are signed in. Cloud does not inherit your Amazon cookies, Prime eligibility or personal location settings. It can therefore see an offer different from the one in your browser. A notification reports the captured product price, not a guaranteed cart total.

A sale starts and my old selector fails

Open Edit targets & rules, load a new capture and switch to the recommended product price. Confirm the new starting value and save. An exact element selection continues to watch the part of the page you chose until you change it.

There is no current offer

A product may show only buying options, used offers or an unavailable message. When PageFluxer cannot confirm a current offer, it keeps the last successfully captured price and reports a check issue. Review the product page, or add a separate Availability target to track a clear stock label.

Track prices with PageFluxer Local

PageFluxer Local uses your Chrome profile and opens temporary inactive tabs to check the page. Keep Chrome running on an awake desktop and grant the PageFluxer Chrome Extension access to the product site. Select the complete current price, choose CAD or USD as appropriate, and click Test & start Local monitor.

PageFluxer Chrome Extension v0.4.1 uses element selection for PageFluxer Local price monitoring and requires a currency. Automatic product-price tracking and optional currency detection are currently available in PageFluxer Cloud. Watch for future PageFluxer Chrome Extension updates for improvements to PageFluxer Local price monitoring.

Select just one complete price. A large price box may include the list price, sale price and monthly payments. If Amazon changes the selected element during a sale, edit your PageFluxer Local monitor, select the current price again and run a new test.

What this tracks

PageFluxer tracks the current product offer it can verify on supported Amazon.com and Amazon.ca pages. The seller, shipping and purchase options may change. Coupons, Prime-only discounts, Subscribe & Save, used prices, shipping, tax and checkout totals are not automatically calculated. Automatic Amazon offer tracking supports Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. On other marketplaces, try general product-price detection or an exact element selection and verify the preview before saving.

History begins with your first successful capture. A failed check keeps the last good price and sends no price-change notification; subsequent successful checks compare against that value. Brief changes between checks may be missed.

PageFluxer is independent of Amazon. For terminology, Amazon describes its Featured Offer as the offer associated with Add to Cart or Buy Now on a product detail page.
